The secret is to minimize regret
“Be nimble and robust”, “be proud not of your gifts, but your hard work and choices”, “be stubborn on your vision, but flexible on the details.” These are some of the famous words of Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of tech giant Amazon. Behind all the golden words, there is a silver lining that Bezos lives by, which is the Regret Minimization Framework. It’s basically how you should project yourself to the future when making any decisions.

Escaping the trap of dogma
Fifteen years ago, the late founder of Apple and Pixar, Steve Jobs, stated in his commencement speech for Stanford graduates that you should never be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. The adversity in his life led him to believe in following your heart and intuition, even when the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.
Not copying other people’s ways of living is also one of the 14 CEO lessons compiled by Forbes, which you can read the full list of here.
Hope to see you next week with less regrets and a clearer outlook on life!
