🚪 Knock knock: we have some #Evospo for you!
Take inspo from these major evolutions and apply them to your growth.
It’s always fun to see how things have progressed. Comparing how things used to be back then, to now where everything is pretty much instant and convenient. The evolution of human life gives us hope that there is always room for improvement, and that things will keep getting better as new inventions are discovered.
Today, let’s look back at some of the most groundbreaking evolutions in human history, and see how we can mirror their growth and take inspiration from them.
What you see is what you get
With the abundance of information floating around the Internet, one of the main factors that could make or break a piece of information is user interface. The functionality of every feature, button, and section of a webpage or a mobile app depends highly on how easy users can navigate through the page. It hasn’t always been simple though, as user interface has evolved a lot in the past 40 years.
From the bare minimum user interface on the 1981 Xerox 8010 Star PC, to the latest user interfaces on today’s operating systems such as Gnome 40 (2021), Windows 10 (2015), and macOS Big Sur (2020), user interface has gone through many makeovers, and we can all learn from its journey.
Growth takeaways:
Aim for simplicity.
Shift like water.
Do not fight external changes.

Connection at the heart of human life
Ever since the beginning of days, people have always sought to have connection with each other—for survival, among other things. In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, sense of belonging even has its own hierarchy, along with other human needs such as self-actualization and self-esteem. With the entrance to a globalized world, society became borderless and the need to be heard became louder. Social media uniquely combines the three highest human needs: actualization, esteem, and belonging, into one giant networking system.
It has grown over the past decades, and has gone through many different forms before the birth of today’s popular apps like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Growth takeaways:
Be at least 2 steps ahead.
Read the room, always.
Utilize what you have, and then expand (in the case of MySpace: utilize the existing user database of eUniverse to kickstart MySpace).

Before the rich became the rich
One evolution that is often overlooked when talking about great inventions is the evolution of entrepreneurship. Trades and commerce have been a way of living for many generations, even before Jeff Bezos scored a $177 B net worth through building a giant online commerce website.

From the infographic above, we could see that future entrepreneurs need to pay attention to these 5 stations in their path of becoming an impactful entrepreneur:
Idea. Start with something purposeful.
Concept. Make sure the idea is viable.
Building. Find and secure resources, including time.
Growth. Mature and expand once profitable.
Exit. Pass it down, sell it over, or go public.
